About me
I studied drawing in one of the premier art schools in St Petersburg, Russia while attending school to become a scientist in the area of fluid dynamics.
Having worked also in painting and jewelry, I found that sculpture provided me with the medium most suited to the way I express myself.
Since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, I had my work displayed in a few local galleries.

Artist statement
Sculpture is one area of the visual arts where an idea must be refined and distilled to its essence for the viewer to properly experience it.
My approach to sculpture is to use it as a means to embark on an intellectual journey to convey that essence of an idea through only the minimally-required gestures. Reflecting movements, concepts, inter objects and humans dynamics in a rigid piece of material is both the challenge and the satisfaction of creating my pieces. To then maintain that tension while the piece is viewed from any angle ... wonder never ceases.
